salt and pepper chicken and chips
500 g | chicken wings or boneless chicken pieces |
½ tsp | salt |
½ tsp | black pepper |
1 tsp | garlic powder |
1 tsp | paprika |
2 tbsp | cornstarch |
1 | red bell pepper, thinly sliced |
1 | green chili, finely chopped (optional) |
2 | green onions, chopped |
2 tbsp | vegetable oil |
for the Chips | |
4 medium | potatoes, peeled and cut into fries |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
Salt to taste |
Prepare the Chicken |
Pat the chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. |
Coat the chicken with cornstarch to create a light crust. |
Cook the Chicken |
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. |
Add the chicken and fry until golden and fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes per side). Remove and set aside. |
Add Vegetables |
In the same skillet, sauté the red bell pepper and chili until softened. |
Add the cooked chicken back to the pan, sprinkle with green onions, and toss everything together for 1-2 minutes. |
Make the Chips |
Preheat your oven to 200°C. |
Toss the potato fries in olive oil and spread them on a baking tray. |
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. |
Assemble and Serve |
Serve the salt and pepper chicken alongside the crispy chips. |
