Sizzling Chilli Beef Stir-Fry
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp chili paste (adjust to taste)
1 tsp sesame oil
Green onions, for garnish

 

Toss the beef slices with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef in batches, frying until crispy. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté onion and bell pepper until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, and sesame oil. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the crispy beef back to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
