Panda Express Chow Mein
| 8 oz | fresh chow mein noodles or lo mein noodles |
| 2 tbsp | vegetable oil |
| 1 small | onion, thinly sliced |
| 2 stalks | celery, sliced |
| 2 cups | shredded cabbage |
| 3 cloves | garlic, minced |
| For the sauce | |
| ¼ cup | soy sauce (low-sodium recommended) |
| 1 tbsp | oyster sauce |
| 1 tsp | sugar |
| 1 tsp | sesame oil |
| ¼ tsp | white pepper |
| Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside. |
| Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion and celery, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until softened. |
| Add the shredded cabbage and garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage wilts. |
| In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper to make the sauce. |
| Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and pour the sauce over the top. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated in the sauce and heated through, about 2 minutes. |
| Serve hot as a side dish or a main course with your favorite protein. |
