Panda Express Chow Mein
8 oz fresh chow mein noodles or lo mein noodles
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 cups shredded cabbage
3 cloves garlic, minced
For the sauce
¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ tsp white pepper

 

Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion and celery, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the shredded cabbage and garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage wilts.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper to make the sauce.
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and pour the sauce over the top. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated in the sauce and heated through, about 2 minutes.
Serve hot as a side dish or a main course with your favorite protein.
