Cajun Chicken Casserole
1 | onion, chopped |
3 cloves | garlic, crushed |
1 | chilli, chopped finely |
3 tsp | Cajun spice |
1 tsp | paprika |
Red pepper, sliced | |
400 g | chicken pieces (thigh, legs or breast) |
2 sticks | celery, diced |
1 tin | chopped tomatoes |
Allow 15 minutes to preheat your slow cooker. |
Add all ingredients. Make sure the stock is hot when adding as this will keep the temperature. |
Turn your slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8, or if you want a faster meal, turn to high for 4-5 hours. |
Healthy swap: To cut down fat, remove any skin or fat the chicken. If you want a lower fat dish, opt for turkey. |
