Greek Chicken Gyros with Cucumber Tzatziki
| 1 lb | chicken breast, sliced into strips |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 2 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1 tsp | garlic powder |
| Salt and pepper to taste | |
| 4 | pita breads |
| 1 cup | lettuce, shredded |
| 1 | tomato, diced |
| ½ | red onion, thinly sliced |
| 1 | cucumber, grated |
| 1 cup | Greek yogurt |
| 1 tbsp | white vinegar |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| Fresh dill, chopped (optional) |
| In a bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes. |
| Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked. |
| While the chicken is cooking, prepare the tzatziki by mixing grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, vinegar, minced garlic, and dill in a bowl. Season with salt to taste. |
| Warm the pita breads on the grill or in a pan for about 1 minute on each side. |
| Assemble the gyros by placing cooked chicken on the pita and topping with lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce. |
| Roll up the pita and serve immediately. |
